    Power Led!

    greeting every one
this is my first post as i just received my T100 1 hour ago
i did as every one said and docked the keyboard and connected charger and didnt power it up yet
but i cant see any POWER LED so i know if its charging
is that right or my T100 is battery dead?
    ----------------
sorry but i noticed tiny white led next to power button
will its color changes depending on battery charged level?
and can some one please guide me what should i do once its fully charged?

The LED next to the power button is off when not connected to the charger, orange when charging, white when charged.

Turn that puppy on... go through initial setup, connect to wifi, run Asus Live Update, run Windows update. Enjoy.

    Oh yea... welcome.

I get 8-12 hrs use per charge using SLEEP mode. Warning, NEVER calibrate the touchscreen.

    Welcome to the forum

Rick has you covered with regards to the battery LED (I will add that info to the FAQ, Rick). For instructions on how to setup, please visit the TF100 FAQ section, linked from my signature - you'll find a wealth of helpful information there including an initial setup guide.

    All the best

    thanks for helping so far:

1- i heard that Windows Update must be set manual update not auto update - do i really need to do so?

2- will Asus live update updates my BIOS?

3- can i use micro-sd as hard drive? will i be able to play games from it? will it be fast as normal Hard Disk?

1- i heard that Windows Update must be set manual update not auto update - do i really need to do so? Your choice but initially I'd set it to auto and you'll likely have several waves of updates. I have mine set to manual only because I like to see what MS is updating. I do have to deal with manual updates almost every day for the %&+#@ MS dictionary but it's easy.

2- will Asus live update updates my BIOS? If needed yes but most folks have reported Asus Live Update may not take you all the way to the latest of 307 but only to 305. 305 is a solid performer.

3- can i use micro-sd as hard drive? will i be able to play games from it? will it be fast as normal Hard Disk? Yes sort of... but if you want the best performance, read through the microSD card thread here for guidance.

If you've not already, install the one update.

See my sig to check BIOS. You may be at 305-6-7 already.
