Thanks for your replies janner43 and Swipe.

Well, dunno what have I done, but my Asus is charging now ...yay!
Went through all related power and battery settings, checking, resetting to default power plans, then I plugged the charger to see will there be any progress or change..and voila, it started with charging again as my good ole Asus.

And what the heck was that sudden alarming issue with my battery and charging, really can’t figure out!
Another glitch ..and will happen again ?

Could be any number of things - most likely a finicky connection in one of the links in the chain -charger into the outlet; cable into the charger; cable into the device; cable inside the device etc

The charge cable is a week link. They fail regularly in my experience. So I always keep a stock of them ready, and replace when there are charging issues.

I just stumbled across this thread and I too had a charging issue with my t100tam while it was under warranty. I could plug any charger into it and none were recognized by the tablet. After returning from RMA I could plug into any charger and it would be immediately recognized by the tablet and charge. I didn't have a qualcomm quick charger until last week and when I plug it in my charge times are cut in half compared to using the factory 2a charger.
