OTG Y cable. Does it charge your tablet

Hi all. Bought this off ebay.
    USB-Type-A-Female-to-Micro-USB-Male-Host-OTG-with-Micro-USB-Female-Y-Cable

It is working if I want to connect a usb device. But the purpose of the y cable with the female micro usb is so that I can charge it at the same time.
However, I cannot charge the tablet when I plug in a powered mail micro usb cable to the y cable.
Pluggin the same setup to my phone does charge it.

Does anyone else have similar experience?

    Cheers

If you'd search, you'd already have the answer to your question, it's been asked often enough.
