Hi. How long is you battery life in sleep mode? It is supposed to be about a week in sleep. What are your personal experiences in sleep mode? How long is its standby. My asus t100 drains about 10% per hour. It still has the sleep drain problem from http://www.transformerforums.com/for...n-problem.html . I have come to the conclusion that the SD host and Intel Atom processer is the most active during standby. Share your experiences and please provide suggestions. Thanks!
about 10% per hour in standby wifi on
about 5% per hour in standby wifi off
i have given up on microsoft for stuffing up this "standby connected" mode ... it should last 14 days on standby but some people's drain completely in less than half a day so i'm very thankful!
Sorry, but we are getting so many duplicative threads here on battery drain, battery life etc etc that your thread has been merged with the thread you referenced. This entire thread can be devoted to discussion of this issue and folks different experience of times & settings. If we have multiple threads on the same issue, the information gets fragmented across different threads & is really difficult for members to follow. I have added some detail to the thread title that means it is now covering not only the drain issue, but also battery life. Thanks for understanding

Another thread that might interest you is in the T100 Help section - "Battery life average - Battery percent readout? - Battery wear". That has a lot of interesting discussion & statistics which you might find helpful.
All the best![]()

My T100 went to sleep at 11pm and then woke this morning at 9am for a total drop of 38% in standby!
Also having the battery drain issue. Over 9 hours of sleep i lose 23% of battery. I always turn on airplane mode prior to sleep but that doesn't seem to matter much. Bluetooth is off. All live tiles are off. Is this a windows issue or a T100 issue? Should i return my unit?
Seems to me the issue is with the dock, when you close the lid and the machine is supposed to be "sleeping" something is causing the screen to come on and drain the battery. I have had mine completely drain overnight a couple times. You would think the machine would be able to detect if the lid is closed and not turn the screen on. Seems pretty simple. Hopefully they can fix it with some kind of software update. Until then I just do a complete shutdown whenever I'm not using it.
Guys i am also experiencing this issue but unfortunately its a Windows 8.1 Issue. In Windows 8 the tab doesn't go to Sleep mode. it goes to what knows as "connected standby" mode. easy way to find out is put ur t100 to sleep and note down the time. after 5min wake it up and check event viewer system logs for around the tiime stamp. You will see something like below
Code:The system is entering connected standby Reason: Button or Lid.
Now in this mode wifi is still connected. Now once the battery goes really low then the tab will auto enter into actual sleep mode (our good old sleep). so if you let your tab die off and then once charged check the event viewer system logs again.
Now i am trying to find a way to disable this connected standby crap and enter into sleep directly but no luck so farThe system is entering sleep.
Sleep Reason: Battery
