    WOW!

I bet they sold out at the low price they had listed. They were still in stock as late as yesterday afternoon.

Someone mentioned that the new version of the T100 that ships with a 500GB hard drive in the keyboard includes a 3 amp charger.

An aftermarket 3 amp charger that worked with the T100 would be very nice.

I work at a cell store, and can confirm that the OEM Chargers that come with Samsung Galaxy S4 and Galaxy Note 3 phones work very well when using the Asus OEM cable. Haven't tested a Samsung OEM cable yet, as they are usually in use flashing phones.

Hey guys! I'm new to the forums and just recieved my T100 today. Over the next day or two i'm going to play around with chargers and usb cables that i have.
So far with the original wall adapter:
    - OEM LG Wireless Charger WCP300 USB Cable: Kept charge at current % and once in a while it increased by 1% max
    - OEM LG Nexus Wireless Charger Orb WCP400 USB Cable: Works just as good as the OEM Asus one! But longer and thicker (lolz)!

Question 3rd party charger that works?

Has anyone found a third party charger that actually works to charge the T100? I am aware that there are differences in voltage and current output from charger to charger, but most modern devices (even devices that are several years old) can appropriately handle the output from any source charger. If the charger is over-specked the device draws only what it needs. If the charger is under-specked the device just charges more slowly. This has been my experience all the various electronic gizmos I have: amazon kindle, iphone and ipad, external battery packs, samsung digital cameras, and other devices as well. All of these devices play well with each other's chargers.

Then along comes the transformerbook, which I have found to be a great little device, except that the only charger that seems to be able to charge it is the one that came with it. When I plug it in with, say, a 10 or 12 watt apple charger it says it's charging and the battery animates as though it is charging, but when I unplug it no new charge has been retained.

One of the advantages of a device that charges with a micro-b usb connection is the ubiquity of these chargers and cables. If you forget yours, there's a pretty good chance you can borrow or buy one just about anywhere - except with this device third party charging hardware seems not to work.

I'm hoping there is a software or firmware fix. Anyone have any ideas. I am running the 220 firmware update.

    Thanks!

Ok, we all know that it's hard to find a charger that "works" besides the original one. One thing that is giving me a hard time is this:

USB gives an output of 5V and max 500Ma due to the weak connection, USB 3.0 gives the same 5V but higher amp. So we charge it with a 2Amp charger in a socket that's supposed to be handling only 500mA.

Or i'm not getting this picture or my calculations are wrong but shouldn't it be a at least an USB 3.0 port to handle the power??? If this is the way to make things what about long term usage?? The micro usb port is going to be used alot and i think that there will be big problems with it.

Instead of looking for a charger maybe it's time to see if we can make a "charger port"..... If it's possible to install a hard drive it should be possible to install a simple charger port........
