What about this 15V x 1.2A charger using a different port?

I have the need for both North America & Europe chargers (yes, I could use the stupid plug adapter, but no I don't like having to deal with pulling that adapter out of a 220V receptacle!), and this caught my attention as it seems to use a different port then the regular Micro USB one.

    I have the TF101.

AC Wall Charger Power Adapter For Asus Eee Pad Transformer TF201 TF101 TF300 OZ | eBay

I've had pretty good luck in the past buying chargers - for ASUS (for a notebook I once had) and others - dirt cheap from who-knows-where in China, so I am strongly considering this one at this nice price.

It may work - I prefer to bring a power strip and a single adapter though. Because I always have lots of gadgets that need charging, often at the same time.

I was unable to find any previous comments on my point below, including searching, so my apologies if this is a repeat.
Did you know that the smart charging ability in the T100 is specified by Qualcomm and is called Qualcomm Quick Charge (version 2.0 for T100 I think). So, if you can find a copy of this spec, you will understand all the electrical details of what is going on between T100 and charger. I found this information when shopping for a new charger. With this I found it easy to buy a charger by finding one that is claimed to be Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0 compliant. I bought an Anker PowerPort+1 and it works fine.

will a samsung fast charger work on a t100ha?

I am thinking of trying an oem samsung smart/fast charger for my transformer book t100ha. It has a similar spec to the asus OEM charger: 5v/2a and 9v/1.67a (samsung) rather than 5v/2a and 9v/2a (asus oem). Has anyone tried this combination, and if so has it worked?

Never tried, but if the original is spec'ed 9V/2A and the replacement you're looking at is 9V/1.67A, then the latter one is underpowered and will charge slower, at best, and could get hot.

So far so good. It may be a little slower than the OEM charger but not much, and it doesn't get any hotter. An acceptable replacement.q

    One Word of Warning, though

There are a lot of pretended Samsung OEM fast chargers on Ebay. I suspect the cheap ones are fakes. It is the OEM charger for the galaxy s7/edge, so there will be a market for replacements.

Hey guys, this isnt a charger but its a way to make any charger work:
If you get one of the USB Multimeters, the two port design ones61W5M7uIHfL._SL1200_.jpg like that. Are around $10 or so, if you use the Second port (Output 2) it includes a charging IC (no data pass thru) and the transformer charges at the full 2amps (hooray!). Works fine for my powerbanks (they dont have the fancy charging ic). and you dont need to take it apart.

My device is a T100TAF (incase you are wondering) and is usually fussy about charging, in output 1 (no charging ic) it draws 0.44amps (2.5w) and discharges. on output 2 (charging ic) it draws 1.77amps (~10w) and charges as fast as the original charger.

*sorry for the massive picture, i dont know how to resize it.

That alternative one can only provide 1000mA, right? At least the one I found on a web site which looks exactly like that is spec'ed at 1A maximum.
@Michaelflat1 - can that 'Drok' variant really charge at 2A?
