T100 doesn't "shut down" when charging

Really liking this machine so far. One strange thing I noticed today....when it is plugged into the charger, when you "shut down" it doesn't really shut down. I tried it multiple times. I go into the menu, select "shut down". The machine looks like it's shutting down. Then I close the lid, open it back up a few minutes later and the screen is on. And the battery percentage has barely moved. In order to get it to really shut down, I had to unplug from the charger, then do the shut down, then plug it back in. Very weird.

I have a similar issue. I put the machine to sleep and close the lid. After a few minutes the screen comes back on even though the lid has not been opened (you can see the light from the screen through the gap between the lid and the keyboard dock). This problem also happens when it isn't on charge, as a result the battery drains away.

I have had the problem with closing the lid and the pad stays on. I think it is a mechanical problem. I noticed that the rubber stopper below the mouse pad is missing. I put two generic ones to the sides of the mouse pad and now everything works fine.

I just hit shutdown when I charge mine and make sure the tiny led next to camera turns off as well...
