Very slow to charge?
I checked the charger with the T100 and it seems to be a pretty standard 2A 5V mini-USB charger, like many non-Apple tablets.
The first night it arrived I put it on charge using an existing charger and by morning it had only gone up to 18%.
I've then tried it with the supplied charger, and in 15 minutes it gained 1% of charge. At that rate it would take 24hrs to charge fully.
I've now shut it down and left it charging to see if that speeds things up.
Question: do your T100's charge that slowly, or do I have a duff one that will need to be replaced?

UPDATE: I set it off to charge with the supplied charger, the supplied cable and I turned the T100 off (not just standby). It then charged 50% in 2 hours, so I assume fully charged from a flat battery in 4 hours, which is what I would expect.

My guess is that when it was sleeping there were still background tasks running that were keeping it alive even though the screen was off.

Yep, going to try a few tests to see how it does.

Hey guys, these are my experiences with my T100TA (32GB):
I found supplied usb cable far to short to be of any real use so I started using usb extension cord and another cable from first day. Charging times were not great - in 1h I could add 14% to the battery if powered off, 11% if machine is in sleep and from 3-6% if computer is working.
I snooped a bit on the net and then I started reading about so called "usb charging cable" that can be purchased or made DIY style. Its a usb A> usb B cable with data pins shorted on the computer side and open on the charger side.
I acquired the cable, these are the charging times, definitely shorter, especially while computer is on:
19% per hour while in sleep or powered off and 10% while on and I am working on it.
Cheers!
P.S I can also recommend BatteryCare, it provides info on charging power, I get up to 4W.

Welcome to the forum
A USB 3.0 extension cable will work. (now you tell me.
)
It must be 3.0 not 2.0.

That's a very important point that tends to get overlooked.
Thanks for emphasizing it.

To monitor Charge/Discharge rate, you can download a free app called BatteryInfoView:
Standard cable is charging at ~4.5-5W... I have tried another one and it charges at ~2.5-3W
