T100 with TV tuner - success!
The NCAA tournament is about to start and I am tired of half blurry streams at my workplace. And when several coworkers stream, it gets worse. So I found an old TV tuner (pinnacle 800e) in my stockpile and tried it out. First try of just plugging in device didn't load all the drivers, so I went to pinnacle, found drivers for the device, downloaded and installed them. Then I loaded mediaportal2 and got that all setup (except for the program guide - yet).
When it was all done, the TV tuner worked great. Video timeshifting worked, even though I had the save file set to be the microsd card. I tested it with the NBA games yesterday and I was shocked at how nice the picture is. Only thing to remember is to plug in the USB tuner card before starting mediaportal.
Now I am set to watch the NCAA games in HD -at least the ones that are broadcast locally.
T100 to the rescue again!

That's very cool wasilvers. I've moved your thread into the Accessories section of the T100 forum.
The T100 is quite a capable machine!

That's good news. I still have not been able to get the USB TV tuner to work with this device. I'll give it another try after hearing of your success using Media Portal

Couple of things I learned...
Mine will only work on the USB port on the dock- No matter what I tried, I could not get it to work with a micro USB adaptor
You can check in Devices and Printers to see it is registered.
I usually check the mediaportal server to make sure the card is listed as IDLE in the servers and not just missing. I don't think this would be a problem if I didn't hibernate my machine all the time (ie my htpc desktop)

Are you using a MicroUSB OTG to USB Adapter?
Rick, loving my T100TA-C1-GR Z3740 64GB Win 10
BIOS 314. All Windows updates except Bing. All Asus Live Updates. WIFI driver 5.93.99.210
I get 8-12 hrs use per charge using SLEEP mode. Warning, NEVER calibrate the touchscreen.

I was trying this one from Amazon. I really didn't even test any other usb devices with it. It would register the tuner on devices, but would always say it was busy or no tuner found in mediaportal. It could just be that it's a cheap one.

Thanks. Yes I have it in the dock USB port. I see it listed as idle...so how do I activate the tuner now? Do I scan for channels in server config, then open Media Portal main?

I forget the exact setup, but I believe you scan for channels. Then another option to select what channels MediaPortal will use. Then you can start media portal to test.
Have fun getting a program guide to work, I used schedules direct for a year when I used MP as my HTPC frontend - but that was a pay service.
