Asus Transformer AIO P1801 Power Button Issues

This is a question regarding the Asus Transformer AIO P1801.

While in windows mode the power button for the screen (tablet) appears to have stopped functioning.

All the other buttons work and when in Android mode the power button functions as normal (turns the tablet on and off).

Well yesterday I was fiddling with it and had removed the screen. Upon putting it back the button worked fine.

    Very strange.

Welcome to the forum and thanks for joining us.

That is strange. I cannot offer much help for this issue, however we did not have any forums for this device so guess what, you now have your very own forum!

This will help other users find it easier.

    Transformer AIO

I am experiencing the same trouble too.
The tablet work and the power station can charge the tablet. I plug in a USB device and the USB is working with power. But the PC station refuse to turn on. The power button didn't turn on and the tablet can't go to windows mod because the PC station is not on.

I try unpluging everything and put everything back on but it didn't resolve the issue.
I try pressing the power button for 30sec nothing happen.

Anyone else is experiencing this issues?

Yup, having the same problem with my power button on the dock. The tablet works fine and gets charged on the dock, but the PC station itself will not turn on. Got on the phone with Asus support and tried unplugging, re-plugging, 30 second hold down and 3 second hold down. Nothing worked. Asus rep finally told me to ship it back to Asus for examination, but I have to pay for the shipping cost to Asus. Thanks Asus, but you should be paying for shipping both ways for a defective product while under warranty.

Unbelievable, I just got the P1801 computer a couple of weeks ago.

i hope that this thread is not dead. I have the same Problem. It wont turn on but there is electricity at usb port and also the tablet is charging.
I have found several reasons and will try to find a solution them in the following order:
    1. Replacing power supply --> ordered and will be delivired tomorrow
    2. Power button
    3. CMOS battery reset
    4. Mainboard defect
