    4.4 for the AiO P1801?

I know it's a long shot, but do we think there's any chance of 4.4 coming to us? I could really do with the soft keys disappearing in Perfect Viewer and based on my experience with other tablets (running 4.4) then that seems to be the only way to increase the screen space in this, and probably other, apps.

It would be great but I'm not holding my breath. I figure we'd need to root and install a custom 4.4 mod to get it. I doubt that Asus will code a 4.4 release since they're getting pressure (by Google and Microsoft) to stop building dual OS systems. Crossing my fingers though.

Yeh, that is disappointing. However I notice that the P1802 tablet has 4.4 on it, surely there must be some way of getting that on our tablet, they are basically identical barring the Tegra chips.

Found the answer to my soft keys problem.

    "full!screen"

    https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...orn.FullScreen

Works a treat and allows me that little bit extra screen space with Perfect Viewer.

The Full!screen app already requires root and more than met my purpose.

However, I just couldn't get used to the crappy DPI, so I now use a Surface 3 for reading, disappointing to lose the double page spreads but the A4 size with much better DPI more than makes up for it.

The last version of towelroot writes some like "This phone doesn't supported yet". All other versions even doesn't installing. Looking for another ways to root on my device.

Looks like we will never get any updates for our tablet - nor KitKat, nor Lollipop, nor even Android 6. Asus stopped supporting of it cause of Microsoft pressure and the model wasn't so popular for customers, so developers of custom ROMs have not noticed this device. So pity!
