T303UA - Keyboard Dock not working
Hello,
I live in Lima-Peru. I bought an Asus T303UA (i7/8GB RAM) in June 2017. Since july I have been experiencing problems with the keyboard dock becoming not recognized and I cannot use the keybord or trackpad. If I want to use the dock I have connect and disconnect several times until it's recognized. I wrote to Asus Support and told me to update ATK driver and Driver Pointing Device, I did it but still the same. Call to Asus Support and told me to take it to an Asus Partner check the device. I took it to Asus Support they told me that the keyboard was fine (they tested in another device). Then restored to factory default and nothing. Finally they told me that if I want to solve the problem with the keyboard they had to open the device, change the motherboard and screen and the cost of this was like a new Asus.
Beyond everything, like others users I have the problems with the trackpad skipping, moving randomly and basically becoming totally unusable;
I paid a lot of money for this device and these stuff disappointed me.
Anyone have the same problems?

Hi Dniel79, allow us to apologize for the major inconveniences with your device and we'll be happy to help as best as we can. Based on all the troubleshooting that you have done, it does seem that the issue would be hardware related and would require repairs.

The keyboard and touchpad are known to be defective due to faulty drivers. This other user found a solution and I've tried it with somewhat success (less bugs and keyboard issues).

P.S : use expert mode in Driver Pack Solution software for updating and installing any touchpad related driver and DO NOT update any other driver
( i did a full update with the app and got some problem with the camera so i was forced to reinstall the camera driver and IR Camera Driver )

just install and update those with tochpad and mouse related ( because after installing all updates from Driverpack solution , i got some problems with webcam and also graphic driver so i reinstall my windows and use Driverpack solution just for touchpad related drivers and its working fine )
now i can actually enjoy this laptop
BTW im so disappointed from Asus ( they don't care even about driver problems !! )

So far so good. I will post back here if the problem reappears for me, but assume it's working if you don't hear back from me :-)
T303UA problem with touchpad
Hope this helps.

Hi all,
I bought an asus t303ua on January 2018 and in order to deal with the touchpad issue I bought a bluetooth keyboard for MS SURFACE Pro 5 with backlit from China for 44 euros. I 've been using this BOW-branded keyboard for about 6 months and I'm very happy with it.
Below I will try to review the keyboard.
PROS
1) touchpad works fine; no more skipping and similar problems any more
2) you can use the keyboard even when it is detached from tablet, which I find very convenient because I can now use the tablet as an all-in-one unit (i.e., place the tablet at eye level)
3) good protection when folded. Note however that it does not cover 100% of the tablet as it is built for SURFACE 5 pro (which is a little bit smaller).
SO & SO
1) battery life is about 4 hours with backlit on (white colour at brightest mode)
2) smaller touchpad (5 x 10cm) compared to original unit (6 x 10.5 cm)
3) had to break one of the securing pins in order for the keyboard to be attached on the lower part of the tablet (since it was not meant to be used with t303ua).
CONS
1) build quality could be better. While it feels premium (e.g., materials used are similar to the ASUS one but not that good) my unit has issues with 2 keys:
a) the left SHIFT key has a broken key retainer and sometimes it pops out
b) the H key requires more pressure compared to the rest ones
2) no specific drivers are available from manufacturer. This is normally not a big issue, but it would probably help avoiding a win10 gesture that mimicks the "Minimize, Maximize / Restore" button on the title bar to be accidentally triggered
Even though I listed as many disadvantages as I could think of right now, I'm still very happy that I can finally use my expensive laptop.
Hope it helps
