    Rumored 7" FonePad

I was reading that Asus may be announcing a new 7" padfone on 02/25/13 and I'm curious why would they go with a 7"? Isn't the phone already 4.8"? Am I missing something here?

I already have one. It's a Nexus 7 with a Verizon Motorola Droid Razr Maxx with unlimited 4G data and unlimited hotspot.

My point is that I totally liked the 10.1 tablet with 4.whatever phone concept but I just don't see much difference in plugging in a phone that's almost 5" into a tablet that's only 7 inches? Probably just me!

A 7 inch tablet is a nice size for many things and many people. Any smaller and it's not a tablet.

Oh so this is a 1 piece unit. It is nothing at all like the padfone! So it's just a 7 inch phone kinda like they are out doing Samsung's 5.5. Good luck on this idea in my opinion as a 7 inch phone up to one's ear is gonna be cumbersome and look stupid at the same time! haha

I probably have this thread in the wrong section since this isn't Padfone so if a Mod would like to move this please feel free. Crap all it is, is a 7 inch tablet that you can make calls on!

If it does turn out to be a 7" phone I'll be amazed - but that has happened before. (me being amazed, that is)

If it is true, then the only folks who will want one are likely to be those with very big ears, hence the secret code name for the device...

What else can it be but a 7" phone? haha Hey you guys ought to chip in and get Fred one, they're only gonna be $150-$200! Oh and do you mind changing the thread title to fonepad since my title is misleading?

    Thanks!
