As cool as it is, that's a little steep for me.

yeah... a little steep huh? I guess you're paying for the convenience to get it now, right now. I'm not sure I'm sold on the Padfone yet, at least in it's current 2G status in the US.

Asus Padfone and Transformer Pad Infinity coming to AT&T

The Asus Padfone smart phone/ tablet hybrid is for sure an awesome gadget to have. The mobility of an average sized smart phone combined with the real estate of a good 10 inch tablet is unmatched. But just like the Samsung Galaxy Note, only a certain class of people will love to have such a device (me being one of them). The Asus Padfone definitely has a lot of potential, if you have how to tame it. The company is still in talks with various United States carriers to bring the smart phone into the States. And these talks seem to be getting somewhere.

An Asus representative, who wishes to be unnamed, has given some inside news to Android Authority about the Asus Padfone and the Asus Transformer Pad Infinity, and the news is good. According to the representative, both the Padfone and the Transformer Pad Infinity will be coming to AT&T very soon. The Transformer Pad Infinity will have the model number TF700. We had seen this in a few leaks from FCC when the tablet had come for clearance.

The Transformer Pad Infinity, according to the Asus representative will be coming in both a Wi Fi only model and an LTE model, which will obviously come on AT&T. If you are wondering how soon you will able to get your hands on the Transformer Pad Infinity, I guess you will have to wait a bit longer. Because there is a rumor that says Asus has encountered some issue with the production of the tablet. But another rumor says that this issue has already been resolved and everything is back on track. But still, we will have to wait at least a month more to see the tablet in action.

The Asus Tranformer Pad Infinity is assumed to go on sale for $499, but it is not sure if this will be the Wi Fi only model or the AT&T 4G LTE model. But stay tuned to know more.
