    Backwards compatible

Does anybody know if the Padfone will be backwards compatible with the TF101 keyboard?

More than likely not! But who knows with Asus so don't take my word for it. One thing is that it does look thicker than the Prime so we can probably rule out hooking up to the Prime's dock! Now wouldn't it be funny if it was backwards compatible and I had to buy a second TF 101 dock! Three Asus tablets and 3 TF $150 docks in under a year at that! Somebody wanna talk about Apple gouging people!!!

In the movies it looked like a TF101 keyboard.

Why would you have to buy another dock? If you bought the Padfone you would still use the TF101 tab?

I sold my TF 101 and dock when I bought the TF 201 and dock. And I only got $300 for the 101 combo!

Don't quote me on this but I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that it was the same dock as the TF101 and like you said, in all the videos online it looks the same too.

At CES they said it was the same dock, at MWC they said it was different, I think it's going to be a wait and see, I have a buyer lined up for my TF101 without the dock, be a bugger if I have to sell that too...

I have the TF101G & then bought the Padfone + Station + Keyboard Dock in April this year & yes, the Padfone station fits the TF101 dock. It now acts as a backup for me. The keys on the Padfone dock is not as responsive or nice to use as the TF101 so if you don't mind the slight colour difference, then go for it!
