    Laptop tuning

Hi. I have a laptop of about 10 or 12 years old, an Asus model PRO51J, series K52JU. It still has the 480Gb hard drive that it came from the factory, but I would like to change it for an SSD hard drive. What do you recomend me? How many gigabytes could the new hard disk have?

I would recommend you to not go for more than 1TB, but even better would be to go for 512, to avoid lags, because the computer is old and it can be hard to work with so much memory.

What is the reasoning behind that advice? It makes absolutely no technical sense.
