Asus has proved unhelpful with my Asus K55A notebook

I got my Asus K55A notebook for my graduation from high school, and from the first time I turned it on, it had issues. Every time I would turn it on, it would freeze up, so I needed to restart it- every time. Then, after about two weeks it would crash randomly throughout use. Naturally, I called Asus to try and have them fix the issue. After waiting on hold for what seemed like forever, then being dropped, and calling back again, I finally got through to someone and they said it was an OS system error, and I needed to wipe the computer to refresh the system. I did this, and the next day it crashed again. I called in again- several times. After three more system wipes and countless crashes, Asus finally agrees to have me send my notebook in for repairs in their facility. They sent it back to me with a list of issues, which led to replacing the motherboard and the hardrive. After I got it back, the startup issue was fixed, but lo and behold, it still crashes! Soon, it began showing different error messages which I was able to patch up easily enough, but which never seemed to stop coming.
Then after two months of having a dormant computer, it gives me a new message that there is an error in the OS again, it will collect some info, and restart. Sadly, it is stuck in an infinite loop, and the only way to repair it is another system wipe- which canít be done because it is stuck! After long heated discussions on why they will not replace my notebook, there is nothing they can do to replace my computer if this issue can be fixed. I know this issue can be fixed- but to come back later. Asus has no integrity. They refuse to refund or replace a lemon computer, and whenever I tried to contact them, they blame the issues on the retailers who sold me the computer, or the makers of the OS, even me for downloading corruptible material when all this started even before I had been on the internet. Even better than that- after all of the resets/crashes that this comp has endured- I canít even get ON the internet!
They dodge any plea I make, and try to just patch up the issues until my warranty expires, so that I will be stuck with a new computer that does not function. Now, in my freshman year of college I have no computer to use because they decline to take responsibility for their mistakes. Please, stay away from Asus so that you donít get burned like me. I have looked extensively online, and many others have had the same issues. I wish I could say that they had replaced my poor decrepit computer with another, but so far through all of the calls I have made it appears they are unwilling to do so. And yet I still find myself fighting on for a replacementÖ

    Welcome to the forum

I understand your disappointment - but just to let you know that this forum is in no way attached to Asus & is actually for Asus tablets rather than Asus in general.

I have added the model number of your device to the thread title & the site administrator has determined that your thread would be best located in our Off Topic section as it is about a laptop, rather than a tablet/mobile device.

    All the best.

PLEASE Search for existing threads before posting a new one. Thanks.

Your opinion matters. But should you disagree - please try not to be disagreeable
