Can I change the motherboard to solve a bricked me301t problem?

I was trying to install a custom rom on my asus memo pad smart me301t but somehow, I ended up doing something wrog because now it can not boot anymore. It is permanently stuck on the asus logo. I can not enter recovery mode via POWER + VOL- buttons. My PC doesn't see it because it can not boot. The tablet is rooted with bootloader unlocked.

I am now thinking of changing the motherboard as a last resort. Now my question is: would changing/replacing the motherboard with one from a good memo pad smart me301t solve the problem? If yes, would a motherboard from an asus transformer pad tf300t work because I read somewhere that they both use the same hardware?

    Thanks.

I would have a look through this thread for possible tips on solving your problem:

Restore to Stock Firmware - Bricked my Me301T

I doubt the motherboards of TF300 & ME301T are swappable. Compare the specs on the two devices, teardown guides on ifixit.com and youtube and do a lot of research.

Thank you very much for your reply Swipe. I have tried everything I could find on this site, XDA and other forums but no luck. You see, the major problem I have is that I can't even boot to bootloader/recovery and the pc can not recognize it for me to use fastboot or adb. Basically, I can't try all the solutions proffered. I have even left it on for 8+ hours (even longer) as suggested by one user, still no luck.

Right now, I have decided to just change the motherboard. But before I do that, I want to be sure that changing the motherboard can solve it. Or is there like a hard drive inside that should be changed instead and not the motherboard (just like in PCs)?

Put me into the camp that does think the two motherboards are swappable. The have identical bootloader and custom roms and recoveries built for one can be installed on the other.

Well, I'll give it a try but not any time soon because I am pretty busy right now and would like to do the changing myself. Anyhow, once I do it, I'll let you know either way. Thanks.

I doubt the repair would be cost effective. But that's just my take on it.
