    Replacing new Digitizer

Well i decided to have a go at replacing my Digitizer as i have had the pad sitting there coming on but unresponsive screen .
I managed to disconnect the battery and take out the old Digitizer , after a good while of heating up the screen with a hair dryer to loosed the glue , pleased with myself i put the new one on and connected the battery , the connections for the Digitizer was tricky one side went in easy the other not so , it was really hard to get it to sit right , when i took a closer look there is a black plastic cover which the strip sits under and the one that was hard to get on didn't have one , some of the little wires that are in there where pulled up and splayed , so no good to anyone . So i messed it up trying to get it in .
The 2 parts where the Digitizer goes into have numbers J6001 and J6002 i wondered if the faulty one was replaced would the tablet come back to life , or is it not worth the effort , my husband wants to throw it away but i am reluctant , i just wondered how much it would cost to do this little job and would it be like new again .
    Anyone any ideas ?

In my honest opinion, your husband is right Christina. Its not worth the effort or cost.

Good idea - you could keep the entire thing for spares. It doesn't take up much space, does it
