    Question RAM Usage

    Hi
With the applications I have at the moment, free RAM is shown at around 400-500 MB. Would you say this is about par for the course. Also how low can free RAM before it causes problems??

Agreed, Android is not like your typical desktop OS. Android manages the RAM. It will suspend and kill applicatoins as needed to keep it running smoothly. A proper computer will keep as many applications running as the user opens, until it runs out of resources and crashes or blue-screens.

For instance: If I have a browser open to the TFF website. And I go check my email, then come back to the browser, the TFF page is still loaded.

2nd Scenario: If I have a browser open to the TFF website. I then go check email, after that I check my calendar. Open facebook and browse facebook for a bit, check twitter, and then play Angry Birds. When I come back to the Browser, it will be a white page and have to reload the TFF website to the page I left it at. It had suspended the Browser app, but saved its state before killing the app to free up memory.

I do not bother with task killers, but some users swear by them.
