Repairing a broken screen
Hi,
My daughter has an ASUS MemoPad and her screen is broken. Repairing it through the shop where she bought it would cost more then a new tablet so we are wondering if there isn't another option. Like for example repairing it ourselves. Is that possible for someone with hardly no experience with this? How much would this cost? Note that it seems only the upper glass layer that is broken as the touch screen functionality works perfectly still.
Thanks for any advice,

Honestly, I don't think this is a cost effective repair. Neither would it be easy. Just replace the tablet with a budget device. If you want to see how hard it would be, read the TF300 screen replacement thread in TF300 Help.

Here it will cost at least $50. I don't know where you are, but there is no easy task to just take out and replace the digitizer from the LCD...
P.S. the screen assembly itself (digitizer + LCD) costs around $50...
