    Battery Problem Pad overheating

    Battery over temperature

    Hi
I bought my Asus Memopad in Nov 2013 we bought 2 in fact , we bought it in New york in B&H while we were visiting family .
It has been great but the other day a screen flashed up and it read
Battery over temperature , please take out battery ,( i did notice it was very hot )
It also had Dismiss or Sleep
The screen started to fade so i put the power off .
It has happend quite a few times the past week and i noticed that the battery does seem to go down quick
I do play candy crush quite a lot and wondered if maybe that was the cause .
Has anyone else had this happen ,if so what do you do , i can't take the battery out as i wouldn't know how to get into it , one suggestion was to put it in the fridge ,once turned off it does cool down quite quickly .

    Thanks

Yes the only problem is that it was bought in New York and we are in England .

I believe the Asus warranty is worldwide and you should not have an issue.

It is not necessary worldwide... Mine is also bought in the US and it has only NA (North America) warranty.

Please give me the serial number so I can check in the system if it is worldwide warranty or not. Here or by PM.

I am sure that ASUS can tell you if it is covered under warranty. No of fence but that may be a wiser option than sharing info with unknown internet folk.

    Thank you for your confidence
As I suspected, your warranty is available only in NA:
    Warranty Territory Region(NA)
    Warranty Period 12
Warranty End 2014/12/10 (this is Asus's waranty end, it might be different if you have a more recent invoice)
    Part Description AS ME173X 1F/MT8125/16G/1G/W

You are exactly in my situation. Usually the US sells this devices cheaper but the warranty is only on their territory... You may try to talk to Asus UK to find out if you can repair it but the data above is from Asus system (yes, I repair Asus products...).
