    MemoPad FHD ME 302C

Dear Forum..... I know this is a forum for transformers, but I have not been able to find anything current for MeMoPad..

Need some help...my memo pad will not turn on. I live in Ecuador and technicians are few and far between here; sending it back to ASUS is cost prohibitive and buying a new one is impossible with taxes and fees, etc. to bring it into the country. Now for the problem -

I have been having issues with the power button for a few months now (I dropped it), but have been able to to reboot using the reset method and a paperclip. Now that doesn't work either. Yesterday the battery drained to "red". I normally do not allow that to happen...but I did not realize the charger was not plugged in (duh!). I charged the tablet overnight and this morning the battery shows empty and charging, when I unplug the charger it shows full "green", but it will not turn on. I have tried all methods and not even the reset will work.

The one attempt when it somewhat came to life was a black and white screen, reminiscent of an old black and white tv with "snow". Then nothing.

    Any suggestions will be appreciated..

    Susan

    Welcome to the forum Susan

You are in the right place we have an entire section devoted to the MeMo HD 10. I have moved your thread into that area for you. By the sound of it, you have two choices...
    1) Try trickle charging the battery - connect to either a 500ma/5v phone charger for 10 hours or the same length of time connected to a powered on & not sleeping PC USB port. Then, connect to your Asus charger again.
    2) Dismantle the tablet and then disconnect and reconnect the battery.

You may find some others have had similar experiences if you search the HD10 sections.
