Question Seemingly easy way to Root Asus Memo FHD 10

The is a youtube video at

in which a guy named Patrick Balleux has a video on an easy way to root the tablet.... He has a file to download and with a few reboots you have a rooted tablet.... anyone ever tried this with his file? I am a bit wary of anything on the internet, but would love to root my Memo. Any feedback would be appreciated.

OK I watched this clearly shows how to manually update DOES NOT show how to root your tablet. I would steer clear for 2 reasons...1st) the file he is asking you to download is on his own Google drive account....ummm no thanks...that could be anything....
2nd) he never says where he got this method or shows you exactly what happens when you apply the file...he just says trust me I did it.

Look there are "easy" (one click, hope not to turn your device into a doorstop) ways to root a device...look into known ones like Towel root or King root if you are really interested. Do a lot of research and if it looks questionable or you think..."hey it can't be that easy" it probably is not a good thing to be doing to your tablet.
