    Tablet lost all wifi passwords.

    I have a Memo Pad 8, K011, with 4.4.2 android OS

It has lost all my wifi locations and passwords. I have no idea what I did, if anything to cause this. It was almost like I went to bed and woke up and they were gone. Didn't even remember anything strange or unusual that I had done before it happened. Now, I even have to reenter my home wifi password every time I turn the tablet off or reboot. I had over a dozen passwords in different locations (restaurants, church, doctors, etc.)

Should I factory reset? Do I need to change settings? Do I need a new tablet? Please help. Any and all suggestions are helpful.

    Thanks,
    Carl

    Welcome to the forum

Unless you can find a way to clear the system cache from recovery, the only way I can think of to fix this would be a Factory Reset.

Thanks for your reply. Still undecided. Not sure factory reset will work, but it's getting closer and closer to be the solution.

There are no settings that would cause that so your options are pretty slim.

Depending on your Google account sync settings the networks and passwords may be backed up in your Google account. Go into Accounts > sync and check if you can force and sync.
Or delete the account off the tablet, reboot, then add it again and see if it restores your settings.

One thing I didn't mention. Not only did it lose all my logins, it won't save new ones that I put in. I'm going to try this solution, but still don't know how to solve the situation of new logins not being saved.

I think, but am not sure, that this situation was caused by Clean Master app that may have gotten a little too aggressive when cleaning out some junk. I'm going to write to those developers as well.

Thanks to everyone for the suggestions. I'll let you know how things work out.

Clean Master was a good/great app once upon a time. It isn't any more, however unless you specifically selected something I'm not aware of I don't think CM caused the problem. Even if it did it wouldn't persist.

    Have you disabled any apps?

It is likely that your Google back up is now messed up. I would suggest disabling Google back up then removing all WiFi spots in your saved networks. Power off and restart the tablet. Turn Google back up back on. You will need to reconnect to any WiFi spots but the passwords should now save
