How to unlock password protected too many attempts with factory restore...

After many hours and a many failed tries ,,,, I found the true working tested method for unlocking the ASUS MEMO PAD (ME172V) after too many pattern attempts and the factory restore is last and "ONLY" option..


#1 You need to download “Asus MeMO Pad ClearData SOP” first.

#2 Extract or unzip “Asus MeMO Pad ClearData SOP” you’ve downloaded to your SD card.

#3 Power off Memo Pad, insert SD card with “Asus MeMO Pad ClearData SOP” extracted file on it into your Memo Pad.

#4 Press power button to boot.

#5 Choose clear user data by volume key and press power key to do the clear data.

#6 After you clear user data you will be asked to remove boot device that is the sd card.Remove it now..

Done, now your Asus Memo Pad is back to the Factory default settings.

I used a sd card out of an old droid phone.. Only because it was already formatted for the droid OS.. I added the folder "bspinst" and the "scriptcmd" file I got from the “Asus MeMO Pad ClearData SOP” to that sd card bingo ..
