    How to update kernel?

    my kernel is 3.0.8, but i downloaded in the asus page the kernel_0314, does this kernel is most new?

    if yes, how do i update my kernel? the download is a archive named kernel20130314 with 633mb.

    I suggest you leave your new device exactly as it is and wait for Asus to push a new firmware to your device. You are at risk of "bricking " your device if you continue trying to do this sort of thing without sufficient experience.

    Your device, your choice, of course but that would be my advice.

    ok, I will wait the new firmware then, can you say me when the new firmware is foreseen to come?

    And my device sometimes not turn on the lock screen, and I need to restart, can you say me if it is some hardware problem or firmware?

    I expect it is nothing too serious, but to be sure, you could try the following tips

    1. Try a cold boot (link in signature)
    2. Try to ascertain if there is an obvious app that is causing problems
    3. If the problem persists, then your only other option is to do a Factory Reset on your device and run it in a stock condition with no apps loaded other than the stock ones. If you are still getting the problem, then you may wish to contact Asus or your retailer for support.
