Bug in MediaPlayer API?

Does anyone meet this problem? My Asus ME102A (Model K00F)-Android 4.2.2 can't play avi file from SD card (32GB FAT format) with Android MediaPlayer API.

My app stops at this line: "mMediaPlayer.setDataSource(songs)" with error message: "java.io.IOException: setDataSourceFD failed.: status=0x80000000"

I will get exception if songs = /mnt/external_sd/test.avi , but ME102A is playing fine if songs = http://192.168.1.1/test.avi

I don't see this problem on other android devices.

Are you certain your SD card is 100%. What size and manufacturer? That's the first thing I would look at.
