    Google Earth forcing a reboot

I'm not sure if this started with the latest FW update. I'm on 8.6.5.18

Anyway, I did notice tonight after the update that Google Earth is forcing my slider into a reboot. It happens pretty consistently when I do a two finger slide down on the screen. But can also happen when I'm rotating too. It just throws me out to the Asus logo and a reboot. It seems to be OK if I just open GE and don't do any two finger actions. It isn't entirely predictable.

I tried the obvious of clearing the cache then reinstalling the app. No luck. I'm also noticing that the support community for the slider is really small. I saw that this was also an issue in the TF forum but apparently there was another FW push that may have fixed it. Of course the TF users can make a lot more noise.

Anyway, would like any feedback on this. Thanks.

    Welcome to the forum Mike,

Just an fyi that you are not on the latest firmware, It should be on .19 not .18 so check for a new update.

Hi, thanks! I just checked and .18 seems to be the most current version. Maybe there is no .19 yet for the slider?

Not sure what country you're in but there most certainly is a .19. I suggest a cold start by holding the power button and down volume button for 10-14 seconds and let it restart. Then go to settings - about - check for firmware and look in the notification area. Also, did you register your TF with ASUS?

it's an eee pad slider, so it is different from the TF.

I don't know technically how different they are and if they have different firmwares and different possible bugs.

I've also emailed asus and opened a bug report with google. Anyone finding this thread can add comments to the bug report:
