Question To Slider or to Transformer?

    Hi All

I'm thinking of buying a tablet - second hand - and I love Asus (have the eeepad and love it) so I'm keen to stick with Asus brand. Been looking at Sliders and the Transformer 101 and I'm not sure which to go for. Can anyone shed any pros and cons on the various models since you have them and have experience in the field? Would really appreciate it.

    Cheers!

The two main cons I see with the Slider are:

    i) Comparatively small user base, so there is likely to be less user support, custom ROMs, etc.

ii) The Slider does not allow the keyboard to be detached, so you're stuck with the extra weight if you just need a tablet capability in a given situation.

I like the idea of the slider, what kills me is the battery life. It has 6 hours vs the TF101 tablet only for about 9. Add the keyboard (yes, it is heaver and thicker than the slider) but you have 14-15 hours of battery life, plus the screen can be tilted to numerous angles, not just one.

    So, I would say TF101.

My wife has the TF101 with the keyboard, I agree on the tilting..thats pretty good. Other than that, same same.

My audio output isnt that loud but with a HDMX bluetooth speaker, its awesome.
