I know. Flash memory is replacing cd/dvd as a storage medium. I just bought this DVD player not too long ago for my netbook and it's like new. Hate for it to sit and not be used since I unloaded my netbook prior to getting the slider. I still think DVD's are good for desktop archiving of material but they are pretty much a dino for tabs or netbooks.

You do realize dvd's have a shelf life, right? People used to think archiving stuff in dvd's was a good idea. Then one day they put in their dvd to retrieve something and it says dvd cannot be read.

If you want to archive stuff, get yourself a couple of 2T HDD. They are much cheaper now. And they last a lot longer. Sync the two drives so that you have 2 backups just in case one of them fails.

You're making the mistake of trying to use your slider like a notebook. This is a terrible application of your slider.

It's not that I want it to be like a notebook, I'm just am trying to figure out what features of the tablet are similar and what is not. I already love the touch screen and Android is much faster than W7 was on my netbook. I'm sure it's because Android isn't as bloated as W7 Starter is even for a netbook. I'm basicly using it like my iPhone but without the phone function. Would like to put some movies on it but instead I may just re-subscribe to Netflix. I really like the fact it has GPS as well.
