SLIDER sl101 Android ICS release v9.2.1.21 Firmware Update Today

I was surprised to get version 4.03 ice cream sandwich. A few things are different, but up to here most of the changes must be under the hood.

I've edited the thread title for clarity & to let all Slider owners see it.

As a pre-emptive (and hopefully unnecessary) step, should any owners experience any oddities following this update, you might wish to read here... ICS tf101 reboots - The definitive thread!

    Build number is v9.2.1.21.

I seem to be experiencing a WiFi problem. My network turns off and won't turn on even thought the "On" is indicated in Settings. I can access the internet thru my computers, but apparently not thru the Slider.

Many TF101 users had issues (not this one though) and most are fixed with a few factory resets in a row.

Check the links Janner posted (and in his signature) to help with the factory reset.

Thanks so much for all the good reading.

However at the moment the Slider still indicates I have no internet.......but it's picking up all my neighbors networks which are, of course, locked down with a password. It sees my network but states that it is out of range. I used the Add Network Option to again put in my network. It acknowledged the network, but still thinks it's out or range.

There must be another option besides a factory reset. This morning I had a trouble free tablet, and now it's an expensive piece of chips thru no fault of mine.

I just did the update and so far, so good
I can still bluetooth connect to my Droid 4 and get internet access, and the following apps are still happy
Citrix Receiver - I was able to remote to my work desktop
SSLVPN- I got to the work network fine
I was happy that Skytracker is still working, I couldn't find it on the Play Store with my Polaroid
The spell checker is a helpful feature for people like me that can't even type on a real keyboard. The keyboard seems to be much more responsive. The lag time used to be really annoying. I hope everything stays sable.

It is an entirely new OS. When upgrading a computer it is best to do a clean install to get all of the cobwebs out.

Factory resets are not that bad and given 2-3 hours you can be back in business like you never wiped it.

OP I do recommend the FR for the reasons Fred has stated, but as far as your network issue goes...

    1. "Forget" your network on the slider
    2. Reboot your device & router
    3. Try again.
