How to Access External Devices such as Droid Phone and Amazon Kindle?

Although I can see the contents of a flash drive in the File Manager, when connecting my Droid 2 phone or Amazon Kindle by a cable to the USB slot, I see nothing. How can the storage drives of these sorts of devices be accessed on the Slider?

Hi bob & welcome to the forum.

You may not be able to - in my experience if a device will not mount as an external storage device, then it won't be seen. You could install dropbox on your phone & slider to transfer files between them that way, but I fear your kindle may not connect to anything other than a windows pc or mac.

Someone may know better tho' so don't give up yet!

Thank you - I downloaded the kindle app to the slider and ran an over the air sync to put the ebooks on the Slider, and that worked perfectly.

I have taken the removable micro SD card in an out of the Droid 2 phone to place in and out of the Slider. That works but hopefully there is a better way.
