Software to track stolen tablet (just in case)

Is there software I can install now that will make it easier for me to track my tablet if someone steals it? I know there's Plan B, which you install after it's lost, but is there something that maybe just runs all the time and sends its location in occasionally?

There's actually a good one as the free app of the day on Amazon. :-)

Lookout, SeekDroid, Where'sMyDroid. Search in Market for more.

SeekDroid is the free app that Thunder71 mentioned was free on Amazon today. Very solid reviews on it.

Unfortunately the Amazon app store is only for US people, i'm in New Zealand.

Thanks for the list, i'll check them out and get one some time I'll be looking for one that remains hidden unless I tell it not to.

I just downloaded it and have played around with it for a bit. It does have settings directly from their website that allow the app to be hidden on the device so no one will know that its there. The only option that I have found not to work is the Lock Out Code Option. It does show on the device that the app does crash and asks if you want to force close it. I also have not used the wipe command either because I want to keep my data . I am happy with it and does have a very nice and loud annoying alarm that I can tell it to use along with whatever text I want to post on the unit. Nice free app and I am happy with it.

Just downloaded Seekdroid also. Doesn't look like you can remotely turn on the GPS feature?

VPN can fix that. Check around there are some free service providers out there.

I have a paid VPN service, I just have to get around to setting it up on the tablet.
