Asus Sync

I don't know if the untility is worth worrying about, but I installed it on my PC. When I boot my PC it says there is an update available for it. I click on install and it immediately tells me the update download failed. I hooked my Transformer to a PC USB port the the PC immediately sees it, files and all. But Asus Sync says there is no device connected.

Has anyone made this utility work?

BTW, I am running Vista 64bit.

It always notices that I have my tablet connected but I never got a prompt to update it. I don't use it though because my contacts are backed up with Google and I use Google Calendar. Honestly the app seems kind of useless to me.

Well the update does not work, but after a few reboots of the PC, the Transformer synced my contacts and calendar. I see the events on the Transformer (Honeycomb) calendar, but I can't (yet) find anything with contacts. Is there an app where the contacts would synce to?

Update: Well, I'll be damned! There is an app called CONTACTS and my contacts are there. FM! (freeken magic).

I'm glad I did get Asus Sync working and found the Contacts app. Really neat stuff. Not only did it sync all my PC Outlook contact information, including the person's picture, it also synced with my Facebook account and married that information. As I said above, FM!

I downloaded and installed the Asus Sync update from the Asus FTP link posted in one of the Stickys. Not sure what difference it will make, but at least I'm up-to-date.

Greetings All,
I am having no luck in getting the sync to work with Outlook. The app installs and recognizes my pad but, when I drop the box down to select a source, it is blank. I am running Windows 7 64 bit. Any ideas?

I had Asus Sync working. One of the notifications on the tablets was that USB debugging was on for a USB connection. I decided to turn it off. Mistake. Asus Sync stopped working and I cannot figure out where or how to turn "USB debugging" back on. Help!

Update: Turning off the tablet and turning it on again fixed the issue. Apparently Asus Sync is a flakey program. But I like it because I can keep my Outlook contacts and calendars in sync with the Transformer......

How the heck did you get it to recognize Outlook? I get sync up and running but, when I drop the box down to select, i get squat!!!
