Accessing Hulu (free) version

I'm very new to the tablet world and I was wondering how to go about accessing Hulu via the TF700.

I've seen some articles and message boards here and there, but I was hoping someone could provide an explanation about how to go about it.

I had an email conversation with Hulu support about it. Here's what they said:

Thanks for writing in! I'm sorry you are disappointed you can't access Hulu on your Android device for free. I know it's frustrating to have to pay for services you believe should be free. I'd love to speak to the issue.

When we launched the free Hulu.com service, our rights were limited to streaming on the PC. Unfortunately, mobile and TV devices were not included in these contracts, and in order to add them, we had to do so under a paid service, Hulu Plus. This is for many reasons, including the high price of these types of streaming rights and because many shows required they be part of a paid service to be on these types of devices.

My response to this is that there is zero difference between streaming on a PC and streaming to a mobile device or TV (or any other type of device). At the point of streaming, all fees for the rights have been paid. It costs no more to stream to one type of device than another. Clearly, it's a matter of greed, but not necessarily on Hulu's part.

I appreciate the context, but there's definitely a way for folks to get around this issue. I'd rather not go through rooting my tablet, but if that's the only way, then I'd like to know. Appreciate it anyone that's actually found a way to access Hulu could chime in.

You could use an app to access Hulu on your PC from the tablet. Something like SplashTop HD would work great.

stock browser - settings>advanced>always request desktop site might work, in advanced there's a section on settings for individual websites. You could try these options.

Hulu the free version used to work with Flash Video Browser which cost .99 at the Play Store. However that browser is no longer offered and for good reason. I can't get the Hulu videos to load up any more on either my TF101 or Infinity. I've given up on the free version of Hulu and switched to Crackle which has lots of free stuff.
