how do I delete unwanted pictures from the gallery

Previously I had a delete option so I could delete unwanted pictures from the gallery. Now the delete option has disappeared. How can I delete my "bad" pictures? Thanks.

Welcome to the forum. In the stock Gallery app, press on an image you want to delete and a trash can should appear top right. Press on the can and an option to delete should appear.

Are you by chance storing some photos in the cloud?

Check your Google+ and Picasa accounts.

I think G+ defaults to instant uploads to your account.

I have the same question - new albums were created when my google accounts synced during initial setup. I've managed to remove the photos, but the blank albums are still there. No delete option. Thoughts?

Disable sync with Picassa settings under your google account -> go to settings -> appplications -> find galery application -> kill it and delete data

EDIT: this will delete just Picassa albums shown in Galery application, not photos on the server
