Live wallpaper affect on battery/performance?

Hello everyone. I have had my Tf300 for 2 weeks now and i love it. I decided to try the beauty of a live wallpaper. I seem to think that it is using more battery and possibly affecting performance (during browsing, games, etc).

Is this true or is it just me?

...I dunno about performance when browsing , maybe a bit of homescreen lag.
The reports I've read are all over the board, some say yes/some not so much. I'm guessing it's gonna use a bit more.

i tried it out but ended up putting back a static one. i noticed a bit more lag in some apps. especially in power save mode. oh well, it was fun while it lasted!
