Playing my music from the SD Card

I have a T101 and I have my music copied to the SD Card and I know Google Music will not see it however I have heard of people talking about using Jef Audio. I downloaded it but also does not see my card nor can i find out how to point it to the card.

Anyone able to help me play my music from my SDcard.

    Jeff

It's JetAudio and it will index the music on the microSD card.

Welcome to the forum. I've moved your thread to the Applications section of the forum. Most music playing apps like Jet Audio and Poweramp should have a setting to scan your external storage.

    Hi Swipe,

Thanks for moving my posting. I can not find a setting in jet Audio that will allow it to scan external drive. As a matter of fact, when I a in the folders section there are no folders listed at all. just "/".

When you tap songs, you don't see anything? It should pick up what's on your microSD card there.

Love Jet audio...scans automatically for ny micro sd card.
If it doesn't for you it could(?) be a faulty sd card.

I am not so sure it is my sd card. it works fine when plugged into my PC and i can see it and the music from the File Manager app that came with the tablet. Could it be that I have it in the micro sdcard slot on the tablet and not on the keyboard? I am at my wits end.

No, the micro sd card should play it no problem.
I'm not sure if the following will work, but I'd give it a shot.
Try going to Settings/Apps/All and find Google Play Music.
Hit force stop/clear cache/data and then scroll to the bottom, see if you can clear the "launch by default" option.
(you may have to restart your tablet)...but then go into the File Manager and see if you can click a tune on your micro sd
and have it pop up a window asking you what program you want to choose. And choose Jet Audio.

    Hi Eejit,

I tried that but did not see any reference to cache/data or launch by default. So I am a bit stuck. I looked at many different apps and it is all the same thing. They do not see my SD Card but the File manager does so I don't think it is a bad card.

Uh... yes, it will. All of my music is on the microSD card, and Google Play Music and PowerAmp (my two players of choice) both see it just fine.
