App to play movies from DVD folders (video_TS)

    Hi all,
Just received my transformer Eee pad and was looking for an app that would allow me to play movies from the DVD folders (VIDEO_TS folders) that I have stored on my network share (a shared drive connected to my desktop on the wifi network).
I found an app Daroon player that is capable of playing the movies from DVD folders, but does not have an option to select from a network share.

    Anybody have any suggestions?

Use something like ES File Explorer to browse to that folder and tap the movie. It should/may ask what you want to open it with. Select you player of choice. Not certain you will find it easy to figure out what file to tap. In fact, that may not work.

You could always cut/copy and paste it to your TF.

Thanks for the suggestion but that does not work.
When i click through using ES file explorer, it says no application found. Plus, even if i get the .vob to play, it will only play one .vob at a time, wont play the whole DVD movie.
Daroon player is pretty cool that way, only if i can get to access the network share from that app.
There should be a player that should be able to do this..

You might want to skip all the headaches and convert it to an MP4 file. I had a feeling that suggestion would have been too easy.

Well, i have more than 500GB of DVDs ripped to VIDEO_TS folders.
So, converting them would be a huge task. plus i will loose the DVD menus as well.
My patroit Box Office media player is set up to play these on my TV as well.

hence looking for an option where i dont need to convert the media.

I think if you long press on the video you can say open as and choose video. That may work. Worth a try...

Tried that and it would work for a single .vob file, but would not play the whole movie. I will have to click on each .vob one after the other to see the full movie, kinda lame.
Will keep looking for an option, thanks for your responses though.

not sure if you can see it in the market, but daroon player will see the dvd in a folder as if it were a disc. i have tried it on my gtab and have problems, but it might work on the tf.
